Reg Willing
Owner, CEO
Urban Restoration is a company specializing in building custom homes, new construction, and residential remodels. Owner Reg Willing has been in the residential building industry for over 20 years. Reg has earned a reputation for providing best in class customer satisfaction to each and every client, while also performing his work with transparency and integrity, which are the key philosophies that drive his business. He has successfully constructed over 1000 homes and has been recognized both locally and nationally for his innovative approach to sustainable building and land development. In 2011 Reg launched Urban Restoration and in 2015 he recently expanded his business to include remodels and commercial projects as well as staying focused on the new construction and custom home market.
Now more than ever there is a need for quality construction, trust and a renewed focus on customer service. Reg has a team of highly skilled professionals that strive to make the building or remodeling process enjoyable. He has spent years building strong relationships with local contractors, and takes pride in his ability to understand and interpret his clients’ needs. Reg believes in transparency. His honest approach to business is refreshing to both clients and sub-contractors. Reg goes out of his way to advise his clients on where their dollars will yield the most value and tries to avoid unnecessary costs. Reg was born and raised in the Northwest and currently resides in Bellevue with his wife, Sam, and two children. He earned his BA in Business with an emphasis in Real Estate Finance and Urban Development from Washington State University.
Sam Willing
Co-Owner & Chief People Officer
Sam Willing brings over two decades of executive leadership, organizational strategy, and human-centered coaching to her role as Co-Owner and Chief of Staff at Urban Restoration. With a proven track record in business transformation and people development, Sam leads with clarity, compassion, and precision—ensuring that every aspect of the Urban Restoration experience is grounded in trust, transparency, and exceptional service.
Drawing on her extensive background in Organizational Development, People Strategy, and Cultural Transformation, Sam plays a pivotal role in aligning the company’s operations, team, and client experience with its core values of integrity, craftsmanship, accountability, and excellence. She is known for her ability to build strong relationships with clients, employees, and partners alike, fostering open communication and high-trust collaboration across the business.
Sam’s approach is holistic and intentional. She combines strategic vision with emotional intelligence, shaping the systems, culture, and communication that help clients feel informed, supported, and confident from their first conversation with Urban Restoration through the completion of their home.
Sam holds a B.A. in Business from Washington State University and lives in Bellevue, WA, with her husband and Urban Restoration founder, Reg Willing. Now as empty nesters, they’ve combined their talents to not only build beautiful homes, but to create a company that leaves a lasting legacy for their clients, team, and community.
James Mayther, MBA
Operations Manager & Estimator, Urban Restoration
As Operations Manager and Estimator at Urban Restoration, James Mayther, MBA, keeps projects running smoothly from the first estimate to the final invoice. With a strong blend of construction expertise and business acumen, James ensures that every budget, schedule, and scope of work is grounded in accuracy, transparency, and our signature UR standard of excellence.
James is known for his calm, detail-driven approach. He digs into the numbers, anticipates challenges before they become issues, and collaborates closely with our superintendents, trade partners, and office team to keep projects on track. His work behind the scenes, refining estimates, aligning timelines, and tightening systems, helps clients feel informed, prepared, and confident at every step.
With an MBA and a background as a professional builder and contractor, James brings both big-picture thinking and a deep respect for craftsmanship to his role. He takes pride in building long-term relationships based on trust, clear communication, and follow-through so that when we say, “We’ll take care of it,” our clients know we truly will.
James holds an MBA from Western Washington University.
Erik Nield
Superintendent, Urban Restoration
As Superintendent at Urban Restoration, Erik Nield is the on-site leader who keeps every project moving smoothly, safely, and to the highest standard. With extensive experience in both residential and commercial construction, Erik is known for his meticulous planning, strong communication, and calm, steady presence on the jobsite.
Erik oversees the day-to-day execution of each build or remodel—coordinating trades, monitoring schedules, and ensuring that details are done right the first time. He works closely with clients, architects, designers, and subcontractors to keep everyone aligned and informed, turning complex projects into a clear, organized process.
Grounded in Urban Restoration’s core values of integrity, accountability, and excellence, Erik treats every home as if it were his own. His proactive approach, commitment to quality, and follow-through on even the smallest details give clients confidence from the first walkthrough to the final handoff.
